These certificates in this volume were issued by the Warden of the Almshouse and list the name, nativity, age, cause of death, color, occupation, condition, how long the person was in the city and any remarks about the deceased. The certificates were signed by a doctor and bear a number. Some certificates state the hospital ward the deceased was in. The certificates include men, women and children. The volume is four volumes bound together as one. Arrangement is chronological.

This ledger contains information regarding both inmate of the Almshouse and employees. Columns read: Date of Discharge, Name, Age, Nativity, Date of Admission and Remarks. Most of the remarks contain a date of death or where they were discharged to - including the Blind Hospital and the Incurable Hospital. For employees, comments read discharge being for "refusing to work." Arrangement is chronological.
