Veterans' Aid: Jewish War Veterans' of Kings County awards a certificate of Merit to Honorable Abraham D. Beame, Comptroller of the City of New York, for service as Chairman of the Welfare Committee of the Jewish War Veterans. Mr. Beame will continue to hold the Welfare Chairmanship for the next two years. The purpose of the Jewish War Veterans Welfare Committee is to continue the obligation of our citizens to maintain welfare and hospitalization services for all veterans. Steady Chuck Stearns of Bellflower, California, considered by many water skiing experts as the finest overall competitive water skier in the world today. He and Jimmy Jackson will be competing in their third Biennial World Water Ski Championship when they go with the other members of the 1963 United States Team to Vichy, France, in September.

Something of a newcomer to mainland tournament skiing circles, Ken White of Honolulu, Hawaii, demonstrated consistent kill in slalom, jumping and tricks to win a place on the 1963 United States Team during elimination trials recently at Callaway Gardens, Ga. The World meet will take place September 1 through 8 in Vichy France.
